Gas Tank Volume - How to calculate gallons

It is very simple to calculate the gallons a tank will hold if you have the magic formula in front of you. I always misplace the sticky that I have it on so here it is so we won't have to look for it again!

34 x 15 x 7.5 = 3825

3825 / 231 = 16.55 gallons

Float Level Measurements

Now that you know how many gallons of fuel your tank will hold, you may want to install the new fuel level sender. Using the chart below, set your float based on the depth ("A").

Measure the depth of your tank, get the "B" and "C" measurements and you should be good.
