This
is Lou's 30 Ford after the new Heidt's front end, interior and other
work was completed. |
 |
The
engine compartment houses the 350 ci that Lou built a few year back.
We added the Edelbrock
Endurashine dual quad setup. |
 |
We
got rid of the full length headers and installed a pair of block huggers.
With the new front end, we needed to change the angle of the steering
shafts and needed all of the room we could get. |
 |
We
made Lou a new dash and installed Autometer gauges. We also installed
a Flaming
River polished stainless tilt column, Lokar nostalgia shifter
and fabricated a custom column drop to house the ignition switch and
headlight switch. |
 |
No
car is complete without The StreetRod Store window sticker. |
 |
The
cup holders are nice because they hide into the dash when not in use. |
 |
This
is a good look at the Corvair front end that was in Lou's car. |
 |
We
took the front of the car apart and cut the old front end out. Make
sure to check and mark you center line of your spindles before you
take the old front end out. |
 |
Now
that the frame rails are marked and braces are welded into place,
the old front end can come out. |
 |
The
new Heidts
crossmember is welded into place and is ready for paint. |
 |
Now
that the crossmember and frame rails have a fresh coat of paint, we
are ready to put this beauty together. |
 |
The
polished Superide from Heidt's looks great in Lou's 30 Ford. |
 |
Doesn't
this look great? |
 |
Now
that the frontend is finished, we can now put the car back together. |
