We prepped Harry's 40 Ford Pickup for the new Heidts Superide frontend. For this installation, we will need to pull the engine. With the engine pulled, now we can degrease the engine compartment. The framerails and firewall are degreased and this truck is ready to have the motor mounts removed and the old front end cut out. This is the Heidt's kit that we will be installing in this truck. The old frontend is removed and the engine mounts cut out. We marked the framerail with the center line of the spindles. The fraimrails are brased and the original crossmember removed. Now we are ready for the new stuff! The Heidt's crossmember is welded in and the new Superide components installed. The Chassis Engineering Inc motor mounts are welded in and the engine reinstalled. This truck is ready to go home.
