Ed's
40 Ford looks like it just came off of the showroom floor. The body
is perfect, the paint and interior beautiful. Let's see what we can
do to finish the wiring fitting for this fine car. |
 |
This
is what the wiring looked like when the car was delivered. Some of
the circuits were wired, but there was alot left to be done. The first
thing is to clean this up and make sure that is wired correctly. |
 |
This
is a shot of the wires that were installed after being cleaned up.
As it turns out, the headlight and running light power leads were
not connected where they were meant to go. This was corrected. |
 |
The
gauge cluster was wired and if you notice, the American Autowire kit
provides the ability to make the cluster unplugable. I never wire
the gauges tight. I always try to leave enough wire to pull a gauge
that may need attention without having to pull the entire cluster. |

This
is a shot where you can see the wiring through the opening in the
dash. |

Since
the column is original, we had to install the turn signal that straps
to the column. This turn signal does not use the flashers from the
fuse box. If you use this switch, you will need to purchase a 3-prong
flasher to wire it properly. |
 |
We
had to install a new oil pressure sender in the flathead. The only
way that we could get to it was by removing the floor. |

This

We
cleaned up the wiring a little bit in the engine compartment. |
